How To Remove Attribution Gadget And Add Footer In The Blog?

The attribution gadget is nothing but the bottom line of your blog where ‘Powered by Blog’ was written. You might have tried or not, but many fellows tried to remove this and fails due to its locking system. You can’t move the gadget to any other place and there is no remove option too, so that you can remove it from your blog. However, you can do it with the below methods of easy practice. 

To do so, you need to open the dashboard of your blog and click on ‘Template’ option and then ‘Edit HTML’.

• Now check the option ‘Expand Widget Template’ and search for this code:

<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title='' type='Attribution'>

And replace the code with:

<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='false' title='' type='Attribution'>

• Now ‘save’ and go to ‘Layout’ page of your blogger dashboard and click on the Edit option of your Attribution gadget; where you’ll see the remove option to remove the gadget permanently.

• Now, after removing the Attribution gadget you can create your own footer by pasting the below mentioned lines just above the </body> tag in the ‘Edit HTML’ page under ‘Template’ option.
