Kaspersky antivirus or any version, at first remove other antivirus softwares
running in your system. To remove other third party antivirus from your system,
close all the running applications and go to the Start à Control Panel à Add or Remove Programs, and click on
the application name mentioned in the Add or Remove Programs list and click on
the remove button to remove. In addition, select all the buttons to remove
complete from the system and its registry.
2.
Your system drive (basically C
drive) must have a minimum space of 480-500 MB with 512 MB RAM for Windows XP,
1 GB RAM for Windows Vista and 2 GB RAM for Windows 7.
3.
Then, go the Start à Control Panel à Automatic Updates, and click on Automatic (recommended) to apply.
4.
Next, open Internet Explorer à Tools Menu à Internet Options
- Go to the Programs options available in the Internet Options and select the Make Default to make internet explorer as a default web browser.
5.
Then, insert the CD/DVD of
Kaspersky provided by the brand. Go through the recommended options visualized
after inserting the CD/DVD. In other cases, if you do not have CD/DVD drive,
you can download the installation application from the website of Kaspersky and
run as per the same process.
6.
Select the Activation Commercial Version to enter the activation code in the Activation Wizard while processing the
application. Please note, your system must be connecting with internet to track
the activation code for activation.
7.
After completion of
installation, you’ll see Green Tick Marks (P)
with a message as ‘computer is
protected’. If there is any other tick mark instead of Green, such as
yellow or red, then your system is at risk.
8.
In this case, you need to click
on the Update button to download the
latest security files from Kaspersky on net.
